Roku Streaming Stick Power

I got the Roku Streaming Stick Last Year because everybody tells me it gets the Power from the HDMI Port you Plug it into.

But my HDMI Port did not give it Power I have to use the AC Plug with it.

So I Returned it but I need some help?

I go on YouTube and Watch Videos on it and they say after you Plug it into your HDMI Port you have a little USB Plug to connect to a USB Port on your TV to give it Power.

Now the Roku Stick I had last Year that I Returned did come with a little USB Plug.

But I did not know how to use it because all my TVs just have Tons of HDMI Ports.
They do not have USB Ports.

So what is going on do they make a Roku Stick that gets Power from the Port?
Or do I have to do something with my TV?

Every Body tells me they all get the Power from the Port so I am Mixedup.

 

Your Roku should run from your AC plug or a USB port on your TV.

Somewhere on your TV should be a pair of USB ports like in the image...

This is where the Roku device plugs in. If your TV does not have these ports, then you need a new TV, but all TVs should have these USB ports.

No need to buy a new TV. Use a USB wall outlet adapter like the one you use to charge your tablet if your TV does not supply USB power.
