:rolleyes: Connected to Internet, but can't access

The other day I got a suggestion to delete the files in my prefetch folder and after that nothing has gone right. I am unable to access the internet using IE or firefox, the browser opens up but won't connect. I am using on a LAN and the connection works fine on other computers. I think I may have deleted something important and I am not sure how to get it back. I did run cmd and did the ping test but I am pretty sure I don't have an ip address. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

 

This exact thing happened to me a couple days ago and I just restored my pc to a previous day and it was fine

 

real easy to tell if you have an ip address.

Open a cmd window and enter: ipconfig

also check the various options with "ipconfig" enter: ipconfig /?
