Rome Total War Barbarian Invasion Has Stopped Working

    I am experiencing the following error message,when trying to run the following game,freshly downloaded from Steam. The game just crashes when trying to transition from one map to another. Would there be anything I could use to determine exactly what's causing the problem,and better still,how to fix it?

    I don't see how that's supposed to help,as I suspect the game is leaking memory somehow.
