rookie question

    Ok, I'm a computer rookie here.....thanks for any help. When I turn "on" my PC I get a few pop-up ads. This happens even before logging onto the net. I remember I had this problem some time ago and there was a way to fix it. I went into "run" and typed a something similar to "config" and then blocked something. Anyy help will be appreciated.....Thx

    You need to disable to messenger service. What os?
