This is my work account for MajorGeeks, I'm a member since 08ish on my main. We have Brother 8155DN printer/scanner units. We use Rosewill toner but are coming up on replacing drums for the first time. The Rosewill toner quality is not perfect -- in particular it doesn't seem to fuse to the page completely and can be rubbed off somewhat -- but it's good enough that we continue to use it. However I'm a little more concerned about putting generic drum units in. The model we're looking at is Rosewill RTCG-DR720 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...99&cm_re=brother_dr720-_-28-228-499-_-Product), instead of the manufacturer's Brother DR-720 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...93&cm_re=brother_dr720-_-28-113-793-_-Product). We'd find some quality reduction acceptable from using generic drums, but I'm wondering whether anyone thinks we'll face substantial risk of permanent damage or degradation of the printer hardware? Thanks in advance and will click Thank on all responses. Cheers.
