    They have built four new ones in our town. It has actually helped with traffic flow and drastically reduced congestion. The only thing I don't like about them is the idiots who don;t know how to use them!! :-D:-D

    Yup, if everyone approaches and enters them correctly, they make a big impact on keeping the flow moving.

    It's not so rare here in the UK to see an experienced driver rush up to a roundabout, STOP, then look to see if it's safe to enter ... sheesh, that really bugs me.

    But in all fairness to myself, we don't have them where I live, so when I come upon one I don't know wth to do with it.

    (I'll keep that in mind though. I have always assumed that the one already in the circle have the right of way)

    Interestingly on the English driving test if you hesitate or stop at an Island in your driving test to work out what's going on when there isn't traffic stopping you its a fail.

    I had a friend who failed his test for this very reason, plus one other small mistake I believe.

    When you look at it closely its very easy to see what you need to do, but I can attest to its a if you know it think its easier if you have not been on that roundabout ten its a nightmare.

    Not the worst roundabout as ones near me are not round in shape and kidney shaped or have 5 lines to navigate.
