Hello all. Well here's what's happening. My mom has 3 laptops. One running Vista, one Windows 7, and one macbook running whatever. All three laptops have this like..browser highjacking I think is what it's called. When you click a link and it goes to an undesired page? Like I'll go too yahoo and search UFC and click on ufc.com and it'll go to apartmentfinder.com or some crazy thing like that. Now all three computers do this. Now here's the thing...they only do it at her house. When she takes her laptop to work, it doesn't do it there. I unplugged the router and ran the ethernet cable directly from the modem to the laptop and it doesn't do it, all the links work fine when you click them. So I'm thinking it has to be something wrong with the router, right? It's a Netgear Wireless G Router WGR614 V9. I've put multiple programs trying to fix the problem on the computer but nothing seemed to work. Ran adaware, malwarebyte's antimalware, glary utilities. Ran all of those and it's still having the problem. I'm thinking I'd just have to go into my router and change some setting or do a factory reset or something..I don't know. I'm not too tech savy when it comes to routers. So if anybody can help me...it'd be much appreciated.

    Hi and welcome

The WRG614 V9 data page is HERE

Grab the user manual HERE and on page 86 is how you can set back to factory settings (can also do this using a paperclip on on the back of the router will be a small reset hole , generally on Netgears its next to the wifi antenna, push the paperclip in and hold for a while then let go)

Will need to know or jot down any custom settings needed in the router first, like anything yoru ISP needs set to allow you on the internet, any port forward settings, the settinsg for WiFi encription and the SSID and Wireless Encryption key (or will if reset to a new one will have to enter this into the laptops when you goto connect again)
