Router drops internet connection

When I resume from standby my router drops the DSL and internet connection, then reconnects.

I am using a Zyxel Prestige 600 router. The computer is running Vista and is hardwired to the router. Everything is up to date. This doesn't appear to happen with the two other computers on the network which are wireless connections. Router appears to be working fine otherwise.

I found an option in control panel to NOT turn off the ethernet card but this made no difference.

Any help will be much appreciated.

 

The network cable could be bad or something is wrong with the nic card on your vista machine. I would try to reset the router and see if that helps.
