Router help

Hey everybody.

My problem is my dell 2350 wireless ethernet router use to connect to the internet until I recently switched to a new motorola cable modem. The new modem's USB and ethernet both provide internet if I connect it directly to my computer. However my router won't connect to the internet anymore. I logged onto to my router and it says my Wan Ethernet is not active, but it is clearly plugged in through the ethernet to my modem. Any help please? Thanks.

You may have to reset your router back to factory default settings and do the set up again since you have the cable modem now.

Give that a try.

 

Do noy use both Ethernet and USB of the modem.

If you have a Router leave the USB open.

Make sure that the Router authenticate the connection, http://www.ezlan.net/broadband.html
