Router Help

    Hi guys, please enumerate some ways on how i could configure a router, planning to buy one for internet sharing... problem is, don't know how to run it correctly. thanks

    gimpster123 Bring out the Gimp.

    Its really quite simple, just buy a router with as many ports as you need, lets say 4, for instance. This will allow you to connect 4 computers and an internet connection. If I were you, I'd allow for some expandibility. You can also buy a wireless laptops to service the laptops in your household, you could even buy a wireless card for a desktop if you don't want to run a wire to it.

    A router lets you share an internet connection, files (only if you allow them to be shared), and even a printer.

    Once you get your router, you more or less plug it in and go. There will be software that comes with it to let you tweak it. Give us a shout here if you need assistance.
