    Hi Guys,
I now have a Dell CPx Latitude notebook to my dosier of pcs. Two are desktops( 1Dell Deminsion 2350, the other is a local build w/ 900 AMD processer and 256 DDR ram. I have the two desktops networked w/ a lynksys wired broadband router. I want to add the notebook to the network(wireless). Any suggestions??
Will I have to purchase a wireless router?
Do you guys have a opinon on particular brand?
Can I use the wired and wireless router in conjunction?
What do you think is my best option?

    Thanks,
    Silverdou

Simplest and easiet solution to to replace your wired with a router that does both wireless/wired so you don't have multiple router confusing things.

Two routers would indeed be a PITA. The least you need is a WAP (Wireless Access Point) which you could add to your current router. Of course, these days, WAPs usually cost more than wireless routers (that come with 4 wired ports). Supply and demand. Go Saints!

Yeh you can either buy a wireless router, or like said before just a wireless access point.

If you wish to keep your existing ADSL router you will need to buy the just the wireless access point becuase you can't use two routers at once. Access point is probably the simplist, as normally you can just plug it in to your existing router like another network device, set up your security settings and away you go. Prices for both the routers and access points varies alot and both have cheap optons.

Brand? i usually use D-link or Netgear but any major brand are usually fine. Im not too up on the Wireless security side so maybe some brands have more security options than others, maybe someone else can comment on that :)
