Router or Hub

    Vision Master Private E-2

    Computer 1 has the cable modem wired to it and in the next room computer 2 will have a wireless router wired to it and an xbox 360. What do I put in between computer 1 and the cable modem? Do I need a non-wireless router or a hub or a desktop switch?

    needs to be cable modem > router > computers and xbox.

    Then all I need is another router to make this work, just wanted to make sure before I went out and got one.

    If you already have a wireless router and it has ethernet ports on it then you don't need to buy another router. Just connect the wireless to cable modem, pc1 to wireless router via ethernet cable that and pc2 can connect wirelessly.
