router problem

    Hello
    I try for conecct my DVR to the net
    but the ip address is diffrent for the LAN
    and for the WAN the ip is diffrent
    also i try to find open ip and alweys get this reply(LAN) but when i put the ip number of WAN the ping replay find open
    and i put the ip in the DVR but i cant find the dvr
    please help me
