Router setup PB: no connection to internet

Hi Everyone,

I just moved and I can't have internet connection through my router in my new place.

Here are the facts:
- I can connect via cable when directly connected to the TimeWarner box
- I can connect via cable&wireless to the router but no internet
- I reinstalled fresh tomato firmware
- I have 2 routers linksys wrt54g (same problem with both)
- I checked the ethernet cable and it's fine (i can connect to the internet with it on the TWC box)

Now I'm not sure what I can try...

First, check the TW box: A few of the newer models are actually combination modem/router units. If this is the case, you'll need to disable the router function of your WRT54G, turning it into a wireless access point.

If all else fails, call TW tech support. For modem connection issues, there should be no charge. I've seen rare cases where a cable company had to remotely access a modem and tweak it to work properly with a Wi-Fi router.

The weird thing is that it's the same TW box I was using in the previous appartment (I just moved one floor up in the same building).

 

I would still call TW tech support. This is a strange issue, given it's the same equipment that worked before.
