Router - This isnt right am i being hacked?

Hi,

recently after some complications with firmware updating im getting short connections drops and unusual logs.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

 

The router is a Getnet GR-124w - http://www.getnet.eu/products_GR-124W.html
please help.

 

Is it possible to revert back to the old firmware? It's possible Getnet may have older firmware on their website if you weren't given an option to save the one you were updating from.

There is the optionality to return to factory settings but it doesn't fix the problem and now i'm only able to use "WEP AUTO" security all others don't allow me to choose an algorithm, with the tab where the type is chosen being blank and returning with the message "please choose a wpa algorithms." Also trying to change other settings another error message providing no information for the problem e.g. an enable/disable function comes up with the same error message for numerical inputs "it should be a [0-9] number." and the time/date keep defaulting.

It doesn't appear that you are being hacked. usually when someone attacks your router, it's to "poison" your ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) or to "poison" your DNS (Domain Name Server). I would suspect that the firmware upgrade didn't take and now the router interface is all scrambled. I would try to hold the reset button in while unplugging the power. leave the power unplugged for about 20 secs all the while holding down the reset button. Plug the power back in and let go of the reset button. this should reset the router to default.
