I Have Dsl, But I noticed with my LINKSYS router connected, That on MSN and YAHOO i never get super mode. One of my camho's even pointed her cam at her screen so i could see that i was the only person viewing... then i told her i'd be back... i disconnected the router and came back and Got Super Mode.... Is this router slowing down my connection or something

    how can i fix this???

I wouldn't expect that the router is slowing anything down but your camera software may need a port forewarded to support the super mode.

    hmmmm..... huh:confused:

The router came with a installation disc, but it seems like its just a help file and them advertising there company. and i dont have any webcam software on my pc, just reinstalled windows... and i cant fully enjoy my camho's in slow mo

but i'm moving soon, to a BIGGER house... got any ideas for a good wireless router? seeing that the one i currently own isnt wireless

For regular home use, my preference is for the Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS (Version 4 or older. Version 5 is not Linux based and worth nothing.) wireless routers. They are generally very stable, easy to setup and have great flexability with non-OEM firmware, which means they can do just about everything you could want it to do.

Please make sure you are using the No proxies connection setting. To select this setting:

    1. Click the Messenger menu in Messenger and select Preferences.
    2. Click the Connection category.
    3. Select the No proxies option.
    4. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window.
    5. Close Messenger completely and start the program again. This should eliminate this error message.

If you are unable to connect using the No proxies option please reverse your changes and make sure your firewall is configured correctly. Your firewall must permit outgoing TCP connections on port 5100. Please make the following changes to your firewall:

    Protocol: TCP

    Server: webcam.yahoo.com

    Port: 5100

Most companies networks are located behind a firewall and some also use a proxy. Most Internet service providers (ISPs) don't have firewalls or proxies, but you should contact your network administrator or ISP for accurate information.
