Roxio MyDVD won't encode project

More Roxio Problems:
I hate this software. I created a project in MyDVD, using 3 mpg's. I have menus for each of the 3 chapters. Have created this for upcoming class reunion and had had no trouble burning it to DVD's. Recently, I needed to make a few minor changes and the software (Video Wave 9??) will not encode the project to an .iso file and won't burn to DVD. Below is one of the burn logs. I don't know what to do. I would like to fix this problem, but don't have a clue how to go about it. I did a clean install of the Roxio software, but that didn't help. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? OR is there a relatively simple DVD software that I could use to re-create the project with a free-trial, etc. using the mpgs with menus, etc. I am about at my wits end.

If the project is basically finished, in DVD format with VOBs, IFOs, and BUPs, and you just need to get it to a DVD, you can use Nero's DVD burning option. They have a free trial that should work fine. there are several free programs here at MajorGeeks that will burn DVDs if all the files are present (the VOB files, etc). If you need to create an .ISO from the files, and then burn it, there are many options there also. Here's some links:

You can burn an ISO image using ImgBurn, FinalBurner, BurnAware, Nero, etc....

 

Project is not finished, ie, it is not in DVD format and there are no VOBs, IFOs, and BUPs. The Roxio software won't encode to a .iso, therefore, I can' do anything with it. I need menus as well to give it a more professional look for the reunion. All I have is the project (w/menus and mpg's) and can't go any further. Take a look at DVDStyler, I linked to it above. The Nero trial will NOT convert the MPEGs for you unless you pay the full registration fee. DVDStyler is free, and it specifically mentions MPEG files and menu support, and it should be right up your alley I have not personally used it, but I have yet to find a program here at MajorGeeks that I would give a 'thumbs down', so give it a look. Then again, buying Nero may not be a bad idea. If you burn lots of video projects, or you're just starting to get into the whole video/multimedia scene, a full version of Nero is almost a necessity, as it has become something of a standard in the burning world...

 

In the past, I have created several multimedia DVD projects using Magix and Roxio with no problems. What is so strange to me is that I can use Roxio to back up and/or restore my system using DVD's, I can play DVD's on my PC; I can create Data DVD's and/or CD's using Roxio - so I know it is not my DVD burner. The software (MyDVD 9) will validate and render a NO ERRORS in project message, but will not encode the project.

I downloaded DVD Styler along with the guide and manual. Thank you again for your help. :wave I am glad that the Roxio software was free with my DVD burner and that I didn't actually invest money in it, knowing what I know now - I wouldn't spend a dime on any Roxio product.

Which one of the Nero products have you tried and/or which one would you recommend?
