roxio wont go away

ok so my moms boyfriend decided to install roxio on my laptop (a dell inspiron 1501 in case it matters). i dont know what version it is and i cant find an uninstall file and it doesnt even show up in the all programs list from the start menu. however it does show up in add/ remove programs and it appears to successfully uninstall from there. the message box indicates success and the entry is removed from the list but if i leave that window and come back to it the entry is back in the list. so i click uninstall again and it does the same thing all over again. so what i want to know is how do i COMPLETELY remove this from my computer. im running windows vista and i want it this program gone. there has got to be a way like the command prompt, registry, or something. im no computer expert but i can follow instructions pretty well so any solution, regardless of degree of difficulty, is welcome and appreciated immensely.

oh and i should mention that yes i tried restarting my pc.
