rstrui.exe very slow to respond to call

W7Pro fully updated, well maintained, virus- and malware-free, everything working perfectly EXCEPT that ...

The System Restore panel takes about 30-40 seconds to open when I click any shortcut to it or d-click the .exe itself in System32.

I get a spinner cursor for a few seconds, then nothing appears to be happening, and finally the small "Loading System Restore" progress-bar panel flashes for a tick, and the SR panel appears. Once it's open, SR seems to be working and so does everything else. Nothing else is slow to respond. Creating and deleting Restore Points is fine, too.

It's just that this seems to be the only .exe on the nearly new machine that doesn't respond immediately and correctly to a shortcut call or direct click. It has worked perfectly until yesterday. I have installed nothing new and made no changes I can think of that would affect the response-time of an executable.

I've successfully deleted all RPs (by shutting off SR, rebooting, and then restarting SR and creating a new RP) and successfully created new ones.

I would be most grateful for any solutions to this isolated malfunction you've discovered that I haven't been able to find in a lengthy series of searches.

Never mind. Found it. Who says the place to hide something where it will never be found is on the fourth page of Google Search results? It was there.

Permissions for SVI have to contain System Full and Inherited. I had changed that when I took ownership.
