run as administer/ web pages shown huge !!

Hi,
just a couple of problems, on some programs asks me to run as addminister ? how do i do that. thanks

also on a computer running xp all the fonts and letters are either so small that cant read and then when go onto web pages so big cant get them to fit on the screen, all i get is one BIG and i mean BIG letter !!!

have gone into change font size etc makes no diff when on web pages..

any ideas

Are you talking about two different computers? If so, is the one referred to in your first sentence running Vista or XP?

Re: the font issue, that sounds like a virus or malware problem. What protections are you using against viruses, spyware? What firewall do you have enabled?

 

What browser are you using on the huge web pages? Is it all web pages or just certain ones?

run as addministrator is on vista !! when downloading updates...

huge web page small text/large text is on another comp running xp web brouser IE7....using macaffe anti spy etc

everytime open dif web page dif text sizes, either so small or huge and i mean huge ...

have been into text sizes to try change to smaller larger etc not doing any diffrence.....

any ideas about the web pages etc on some pages cant even log in !!! to big

 

I'm not familiar with IE7. I've seen other people have luck with opening Tools from within IE then Advanced tab and Restore Defaults. You will lose history, cookies and stored passwords so you may want to wait for a more precise fix.

sorry it was IE6, just tryed what you said still the same,
just went into amazon page all the pics are over layed on the text all squashed up on one side in other word a right mess of a page....

 

could it be my graf card ? just a thought
is the upgrade easy not my comp, parents !! is it go to micro web page and upgrade..

Try deleting your Temporary Internet Files again.

deleated them, still the same ctrl + ctrl- does nothing..

just did all that got IE7 now !!

still no joy, web page amazon just for testing is all wrong!!!

got a black under/over lay box on the page and some of the page missing

fonts on desk top all small cant change them either !!! and the task bar very narrow top and bottom ? help screen hard to use using dif comp to this sight thanks....................................

just changed web browser and lot better BUT all boxes and the colour of the background all wrong ?? will not show the boxes around the web pages etc,
as before this web page all white not green.... any more ideas thanks,,,,

under display adapters, says radeon x600 256mb hypermemory
radeon x600 256mb hypermemory secondary

both working ok well says they are,

when go into update driver asks for a disc i havnt got then just searches and says can not find a better match for this hardware......
