the mail rules sort my email for all the users of this computer, but the only problem is i have to run them manually by going to tools -- > rules wizard -- > run now -- > check all the boxes for each user, and then run it. it's a pain to do this every time i start outlook, and i am the only person who knows how to do it. how can i set up the mail rules to automatically run when i startup oulook 2002

I believe this is a known problem with Outlook 2002, it's not fixed by SP1 either. Apparently one remedy is to wait a few minutes after starting Outlook before sending/receiving mail.

IT bugged me so much I switched back to Outlook 2000, which works fine.

hmm.. are you sure it's a outlook 2002 glitch? i used outlook 2002 on my windows 2k pro machine last month, before i bought this computer, which is now windows XP pro and it worked fine on it. is it just a glitch with windows xp and outlook 2002 or outlook 2002 in general?
