I have a computer at work that is giving me a "Run-time error '91'; Object variable or with block variable not set'' when I try to open one of our programs.

The program is semi proprietary (only been here a few months so I don't know the history of it) and the website support section of the parent company apparently does not work (will not let me create an account to post on the forums - or even let me SEE the forums). It's not common enough for there to be any search results when I try to look it up on Google. The program is called CGI Explorer and it's developed by Aptify (if anyone knows anything about it already...)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Error persists.
However, I should comment that this program does NOT come with an uninstaller, the only way we have found to uninstall it is to delete the folder contents in the Program Files.

After I "uninstalled" it. I went through the registry and manually deleted the references to the program. There should have been essentially no trace of the program left on the machine.

Reinstallation went through normally, but I keep getting the run-time error.

Durign my research of error 91 in general, it seems like 9 times out of 10, a registry cleaner will fix the problem. I downloaded CCleaner and ran the registry cleaner.

    Error persists.

    Any ideas?

I tried to get the user to tell me what he changed before the error occured, but he doesn't seem to remember everything he did. (This is the problem with giving developers admin rights to their own PC, eh?)

I appreiciate any ideas or comments you may have. We are really trying to avoid re-imaging the computer because this user has a LOT of extra programs and such on his machine for his dev work.

I might try to install it again but this time let Revo Uninstall remove it. It would first use the programs uninstaller but since it doesn't have any, it would do it's own thing. It will go through the registry and locate all the entries, just in case something was missed.

I let Revo's setting at moderate for removing. When you do the registry section, only check items in bold, otherwise you remove critical parts of the registry. You can also press the back button and get Revo to look through the registry more than once.
