rundll error

Hi there,

I have an Alienware laptop, and I recently went thru hell to remove a whole bunch of malware, among then SurfsideKick3 (a real bastard)


Right now, when I boot up my PC, when the desktop first comes up, I get two windows that pop up that have the heading "RUNDLL".

The first one says "Error loading w067cefd.dll specified module could not be found"

The second one says the same thing, but replaces w068282f.dll

Nothing really seems to be running wrong w/ my comp now, but I can't figure out how to get these windows to stop appearing. Any one who can help me?

Some application is attempting to load those .DLLs on startup.

My first suggestion is to double check that everything is A-OK. By going to the malware forum, here at MG.

Then post in: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35 <-- just to be sure that all malware is removed.

 

John, also what kind of alienware laptop do you have?
Some of them (like mine) have a built in webcam into the laptop lcd, and some driver on mine borked and was spewing out some odd messages upon boot.

I would also type a few of those .dll file extensions in the aliernware software support page where they have a list of drivers/ software to download specifically for your alienware laptop...

I have a sentia 3400, and I checked out the cam drivers, its not that...

is there a good progam that will allow me to identify and fix .dll errors?

If it illuminates the problem, I've finally gotten rid of the malware (positive), but the rundll errors still come up when I start my comp.
