runescape

i play a game called runescape on the net which utilizes servers from different areas. my question is why do i seem slower than everyone else? to kill people in this game u must "catch" them . my megabits per second are 2.2 on a cable connection , my comp is a compaq s4200nx 2.6 ghz...also ive up the ram to 2 512mb slots.

now i know some people on this game use bots , macros or auto catchers but i want to do it legit.if anyone has any advice , or plays and knows something i dont it would be greatly appreciated. if u dont know what i am talking about go to runescape.com and try it out , its free and maybe you will see what i mean.

ive also tried different javas.

 

Runescape is lame.

If you want a real mmorpg try WOW.

And an answer to you question. Alll servers are overseas so i supose it works in relation to the distance you and the other players are from the servers. The farther you are from the server the mor lag or slower response time.
But I am just guessing.

 

Your connection speed has NOTHING to do with it, it's your game PID (player ID) that makes the difference, the lower the better, if you have PID 1, then no one will ever be able to catch you, and you will be able to catch everyone very easily, look for a PKING bot (not a auto catcher) - there are tonnes out there which have the ability to login and out very quickly until you have a lower pid than everyone around you, also remember to scan any file you download that has to do with runescape before you run it, I recommend using http://virusscan.jotti.org/
