I created a text file that can be used to uninstall many of the pre-installed Windows programs when you run it as a script, I think it's called. I saved the file and tried to put the appropriate extension (.ps1). I thought that when I right click on the file that there would be an option to run with powershell. However, I don't see that option when I right click.

Maybe the problem is that the .txt extension is the actual extension (I see that when I right click on the file).

Do you have view extensions on? What OS? 7 , 10??

You need to unhide file extensions and then change the extension to ps1.
