Hi its good to meet all of you ,I have enjoyed this site for quite some time ,recently I bought a new computer an Asus N10J but when I loaded the programs that I use for work,I found that I could not access the bottom of the screen,The computer came with vista premium, and I was told that if I loaded XP that I would be able to change the resolution and use a feature called pan and scan,so I loaded xp and found that I could not still change the resolution from 1024x600 to anything smaller so I tried Resolution manager, this did not work either so I was wondering if any of you have any solution that may solve this problem ,With kind regards Rusian

Thanks thats a good article, but the problem is the resolution is preset and can,t be changed to anything smaller, then 1024x600,and I would need 1024 x768 with out changing what causing this from happening even Operating systems did not help ,but the asus 100 HE is using exactly the same chip set 945,and can be changed to quite a bit larger, and quite a bit smaller so it probly can be corrected ,I am not quite sure how, with kind regards ,Rusian

You may need to calibrate the monitor itself. Go through the monitor controls.

The other possibility is the video card may have some settings, you can access them by right clicking on the desktop, select properties, select Settings, then select advanced. This will get you into your video card setting controls.

The maximum resolution is what you have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220386
I own an ASUS eeepc 701 and my max resolution is 800 x 480.

The only work around would be to attach an external monitor and see if you are allowed to set a different resolution on the external.

I don't run windows; I run linux and have an external 17" LCD attached so I can view up to 1280 x 1024.
