    I want to connect my laptop to my TV - I have S-video and DVI connections, my TV Component or Scart input - which is best, and do I just need a cable or some kind of converter? :confused:

    Yeah... you will need a converter.
    But they aren't expensive.

    This is the effective circuit for one:
    Y-------------------------+
    . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+--------- RCA/composite video
    C------------||-----------+
    . . . . . .470pF
    the componant within the "C" line is a ceramic capacitor
