S-Video hook up

OK, this should be easy, I want to hook my laptop to my TV, the TV has S-Video inputs, laptop has S-Video output, so alls good there, what I need to know is if the sound will come out of the TV speakers or from my laptop?

s-video is just video..you will need to run a cable from the headphone jack to your tv as well, if you want the audio too....

OK, I have my cables, now to hook it all up do I need to shut down and plug in then start up or is it like USB and I can just plug it in??

 

if your talking about the video, i'd have it off, or at least the tv off, then plug it in. the audio might not matter, but i'd at least have one of them off. - sos

 

well i shut it all down, hooked up started back up, now when I switch to the tv everything gets huge and i mean HUGE, i guess it might help to say my specs.....

intel dual core T2370
1G ram, 120G hdd
intel graphics accelerater for mobile

 

does it turn up as an external display? if so you can adjust the resolution.
