    Hi

I recently bought a tv that can also be used as a monitor because my laptop screen is broken. I both a VGA to VGA cable and S video to S video. I've searched the internet but seem to find different views as to which would be better and thought where else better to ask than here. So which would be better to use? And does anything need to be taken into consideration when choosing, such as screen resolution?

    Thanks in advance guys!

It is all about screen resolution. S-Video is limited to 720 x 480 while VGA can handle up to 2560 x 2048 (depending on the computer's graphics solution and the monitor/TV).
