Ok...so I might be a fool. I am currently running an Hp Pav a305w
    with:

    2.7ghz Processor
    512 mb Ram
    40 gb HD
    Windows XP home
brand new nVidia e-GeForce MX-4000 vid card with s-vid out

everything but the card is oem

Soooooo, my problem is this: I bought the card to watch my anime on the TV instead of the old monitor. Unfortunately, my TV has no S-vid in so i also bought a converter to convert the signal to coax. Theoretically all is well because I have no trouble viewing the desktop or windows I open on the TV. However, when I play my videos through Win Med Player 10 the monitor shows a clear pic but the TV is black where the vid should be(ie full screen or in a window). So I don't know if I am losing the video through the converter, the card or the software. If anybody knows why this is happening please help. Thanks. PS, I already disabled the integrated graphics controller and that didn't do it.
PSS, how do you guys get the stripes?

You'll be happy to know, you're NOT a fool. LOL I posted the same question a few months ago. Suggestions were offered, but nothing that remedied the situation. It's strange, cuz video games can be viewed on the tv, but not movies or video's. I've tried viewing DVD movies on the tv, with the TV-Out using several different players. All that shows is the player interface, and just black where the movie should be showing up. I gave up. I couldn't find anything relavant anywhere about it !!

I found a download for NVidea cards called TV Tool http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm

Be careful, though, I had to restart my computer once in Safe mode and remove TV Tool because my PC screen ( not the TV) wouldn't work. But I think that was due to the fact that I didn't have a TV connected to the card.

BTW the TV Tool forum (accessible form the site) might be helpful.
