Hey guys....I recently bought a s-video cord, and I'm having trouble getting it to work with my tv. I have a yr. old Westinghouse LCD and a Dell PC that is about 6 or 7 yrs. old....I know it has a tv out though... when I go to settings its says about the monitor....128 DDR ATI Radeon 9700 TX w) TV out....also has another option underneath...I think its new. THE PROBLEM I'm having is that I hook it up, then start my computer and the tv recognizes it, shows it while its booting up, and then when it gets to the login screen, the TV connection goes blank...any suggestions ya'll could give me. Thanks...

You may have the resolution and/or the refresh rate set too high. Using a monitor that isn't your TV, boot to your Windows desktop. Right click on a blank area on the desktop and select Properties. Then click Settings and lower the resolution to 800x600 or maybe even 640x480, Then click Advanced, then click the Monitor tab and set the refresh rate to the lowest possible setting, usually 60hertz. Save the changes by clicking OK, shut down the PC and connect the TV. Reboot and all should be well. Once the TV is up and running, you can start to play with various resolutions to see what works best for your particular scenario.
