Safe Mode and Creative Labs loading

Hello,
Whenever I boot into Safe Mode I get a full screen 'splash screen' of Creative Labs' pop up. This only happens in Safe Mode.
I was under the impression that Safe Mode would only load basic/neccesary components.
Does anyone know why this happens? -Is the Creative software being a jerk and overstepping it's bounds? -and is it normal that it does this?
Is there a way to stop this that won't disable my souncard?
This is just an annoyance -it's not really hurting me...but I find it a bit aggravating.
