   When I try to boot to safe mode my mouse and key board will not work. Help.
   I am running Windows XP Pro

   USB? Are you familiar with the BIOS, settings in there could fix it, enable legacy is the option if I recall. Otherwise, if not, you can plug them into their ps\2 slots (the purple and green round ones) an adapter is usually included with them, so you may have an adapter lying around.

   My keyboard and mouse are not USB, they are round w/ 6 pins. I will look at the BIOS.
