   probably the wrong forum, however, here goes. how do i get into safe mode? everytime i run scan disk it tells me it has attempted 10 times and other programs are writing.

   Boot up hit f8, should help, what OS can give you exact instruction.
   On everything but 2k and mE strat -> run ->Msconfig select safe mode on next boot up or something close to that
