I have been trying alot to boot in safe mode cause i have learnt that it helps in removing viruses.

I followed all instructions to boot in safe mode, tap F8 after the first black and white window didnt work so i tried again and tapped it continuesly with no progress.

After the black and white boot windows im asked to pick a user which is kind of strange i thought since there is only one user and thats mine with the admin rights, i never thought about that until now. Thought it might be rellevent.

Any help will be well apreeciated.

Well, from start up the way is to just hit F8, I would recomend jsut keep taping it untill you get to the menu where it asks you how you want to start your machine. If that does not work for some reason you can also attempt to go into windows normaly, goto start -> run. Type msconfig into that. When system config util comes up goto the boot.ini tab, and check /safeboot and click ok. Whe n prompted to restart click restart. When done working with safe mode, go back to this util and uncheck the /safemode.

This is a decent link to go to for info on starting in safe mode is

if you need any more help let me know.

If hitting the F8 key is tricky. There is another way.

Boot up as normal. run msconfig (start, run, msconfig <enter>).

Now click on the boot.ini tab.
Check the box next to /SAFEBOOT
Make sure that the radial button for minimal is selected. (should be default)

Hit ok, then it should reboot (if not reboot). Now, you should be in safemode.

Run your apps....once you are done go back into safemode and uncheck the /safeboot portion, reboot and you should be all done.....
