Safely Remove Hardware Utility Probs

Hi all

I was wondering if some one could help me with a annoying problem.

The Safely Remove Hardware ultil that sits in the systray won't let me get rid of the flaming thing, Is there a registry hack I can use to stop it appearing in the systray ?

The only thing that is in it is my ADSL modem so I don't need the app running.

I am running Windows XP - Pro (no SP installed)

Any help would be very appreciated

Is it a usb modem. if so while its connected you will have that ultil in your systray.

you can hide it thought by

click on start right click properties / task bar tab / customize
