Sam Steele Days

The local annual festival http://www.samsteeledays.org/ . Went to the beer garden/dance last night. A band called "Big Radio" from Vancouver played. They seem to be a cover band, they didn't play anything original which to me was a bit disappointing, but the covers they played were excellent. The first set was Billy Idol, Ratt, G'n'R, etc. The dance floor was awash with scantily clad, young skinny girls, mostly dancing with themselves. I had to avert my eyes. (That's a lie!) The second set was Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Metallica etc. with amazing screaming guitar solos. Loved it. The dance floor was packed.

Sam Steele sounds like a Canadian version of James Bond.
