Samsung 740N Issue

Hi i recently bought an Samsung 740N 17" LCD , i love it but the only problem im having is that small images appear to be grainy , i lowered the sharpness made it better but didnt fix it .
Is there any other settings i can adjust to fix this , or is there a problem with my monitor becuase i already got 2 dead pixels n i just bought it 2 days ago and a little hue /saturation on the top(which doesnt bother me )

OR could this just be my video card cuz rite now im using a geforce fx 5200?
display mode: 1280 by 1024 @ 60hz
