Samsung 850 pro vs 850 evo SSD - 1TB

Just curious if anyone has used either of these SSD's. I'm wanting higher IOPs compared to my current 10k 1TB. Also want good overall writes.

75 TB written on the evo vs 150 TB on the pro. I'm kinda leaning towards the pro. Just need to justify spending $500 vs $380.

This will be used only with VMs (Virtual Machines). Nothing else.

 

If you can use the RAID on your MB two Samsung 840 is cheaper and faster.

 

840 evo or pro? I'm guessing raid 0?

 

Well, quick glance, two 840 evo's at 512 MB = the same price as one 850 pro.

Still leaning on the 850 pro. Though, two drives at raid 0 should be quite better in iops. Hmmm.

 

Anyway, just wanted to update that I ordered just moments ago, the Samsung 850 EVO 1TB. Looking forward to the added VM performance.

Next, to order a 4k monitor.........
