Samsung SCX-4623F printer driver issue

Hi All,

i have a samsung scx 4623f printer which im trying to get it to work on my laptop running windows 7 32bit OS. i have the installation cd for the printer. After installing the drivers, i am able to print a test page. Problem arise when i try scanning with the Smartthru application. Everytime i try scanning, i get the error message, "error while scanning, please restart the hardware and the system and try again" (something similar to this), and then another pop-up windows states "Hardware I/O error"

Kindly advise as what might be causing this.

Have you tried going to Samsung's website to see if an updated driver or patch is available for download? It's worth a try.

tried that. but i see no patch or available updates. Even downloaded the drivers from there, but still the same issue.
