Ok so I was noticing how the SATA and eSATA connectors are slightly different shaped so that you can't use a SATA cable w/an eSATA plug. Is it possible to take a SATA cable and modify it a little so that I can touch the SATA cable contacts to the eSATA port's contacts and have two things happen, one being my computer not frying and the other being that it actually works?

That's not what I was asking. I was asking if it was possible to do that. I know that I can buy SATA to eSATA cables.
