sata/Ide hardrives

    I have a DFI ultra AL mobo that will support up to two ide hard drives. It also has a plug for a sata drive. I was wondering if anyone new if the mobo would support both the sata and a IDE at the same time? I have read that sata access data up to 2x faster than IDE and I would like to purchas a sata drive but they are pricey and I have no desire to waste my money. Thanks guys.

    Mobos with SATA/IDE connections support both types of hdd at the same time. SATA drives are about the same price as IDE....if you see them pricy for the same storage your looking at the wrong places. Check out www.newegg.com .
