I have been looking at getting an external hard drive, I was considering this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-122-WD

I was wanting to use it for holding music, games, movies etc. I want to use the eSata on the HD to conect it to my pc. At the moment I have one spare Sata2 socket on my motherboard.

I am wanting to get a Sata2 lead from my spare socket to an external eSata at one of the back slots of my pc and conect the external hard drive through to the output.

Is this all possible to do?

    Chears

Yes there is a backplate available that connects internally to your sata socket and has an eSata socket on the backplate. Cost $7.00 here in OZ.
    Cheers
