    Hello Everyone:

Wonderful forum. Hoping someone can give me some assistance. The tech came yesterday and installed Wild Blue Satellite for me. I can no longer get Verizon DSL because we have moved to a more remote area.

Things seem to be working pretty good. I can surf the internet, my calendar was still intact and all my email contacts were still there.

What I can not do is send web pages to people. Example: when surfing the internet you see something a friend might enjoy reading so you go to FILE and select: send link or send page. When I do this, my old Verizon MSN sign on screen comes on. Of course I am no longer attached to Verizon.

I am now using MSN to get to my HOTMAIL account. Odd thing is...at the top of the page it says: Verizon with MSN HOTMAIL. What is going on? How can I fix this? The tech seemed to be clueless and had to run to another appointment yesterday. I have phoned him a number of times today to leave messages.

I RUN Windows XP and Outlook Express is on my computer. Just thought this info might help.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Many, many thanks,
    Karen

Assuming your using outlook express or account, goto tools accounts, then mail tab. You probably will see a email account listed for both wild blue and verzion. Remove the verzion one, restart it should go away from your internet explorer as that susually linked to outlook. Now if your using a hotmail account, and the provided by verzion thing is at the top in the blue title bar. Thats just a thing some isps do, but it dones't really matter. If thats the case and you browse to another website it should still say - provided by verzion or something like that at the top still. Hope that helps if not post back and we can try some other stuff.

Thanks for the response Coleman Guy. I did as you said. All is well now. I consider myself pretty darn computer literate. But this one had me baffled. I think I was just very upset at going from my faithful old Verizon to a satellite provider. Doing pretty good now. Don't notice the latency thing too bad. Much better than dial up to be sure. Guess I had just been coddled too long by Verizon DSL!

    Thanks again!
