Save Program To Cd Or Dvd

Hi,how is it possible to save a downloaded program to cd or dvd? I`m somewhat new to computing.

RUNNING WINDOWS XP

 

First ya need CD or DVD burner.
Second you need burning program, Xp has one build in for CD/ can download some free ones here at MG.
Generally a CD burner, more cost effective.

If ya got CD burner, when download to save to CD-RW Drive (G) , G is what letter my drive is your's may different letter
then you get a little pop up on your desk tray that says you have files ready to copy or burn, click on and follow directions.
So do you have cd burner???

 

CDBurnerXP works great and it's free. You can find it by clicking HERE .

 

You can also take a file that you have already downloaded and then copy it. Then go to My Computer, and click on the drive that is your Cd Burner. Mine is e: and asus said his was G:. Yours may be different but any who go open up your cd burner and then paste the program right in there. Its as simple as that. Then click on the button that says "Write these files to cd.." on the left side near the top.

 

I have 2 cd-dvd rw`s in my computer.Perhaps i should have bee more specific--how can i copy a program i already have downloaded and saved on my computer?

Pretty much open up your burner program and you can choose add files or just drag your files into the main window than click burn. You can also continue multisessions which is u pretty much insert the cd into cd burner and it should ask you if you want to continue this session. Click yes and it should show the files previously burned onto the cd. To get really familiar with your burner program just fool around with stuff. Happy burnin

 

What program's are you wanting to copy?, without any details, just right click and send to cdrw drive ( ), you chose which drive to use if ya got two.
