I saved two web sites, one a child's game page, and another for gasoline prices, by right clicking and selecting "set as desk top item". The sites show up on the desk top as actual web pages (not icons), taking up the right 3" of my desk top, one on top of the other. When I click on the desktop and get a listing of everything on the desktop, those websites are not listed. How can I delete them and get back to my regular desktop?

    HI!
    In XP:
Right click your desktop and select 'Properties'
On the 'Desktop' tab click 'Customize Desktop'
On the 'Web' tab uncheck anything checked there.>OK
You may have to reboot or right click the desktop and select 'Refresh'
All should be back to normal.
    :)

    Toni_1947,
Thanks. All back to normal now. Found that the "Lock web items on desktop" was checked, too. Unchecked it and was able to get to the "X" box on each web page and closed them.
