Saves only to BMP

    I'm running Win XP Professional, and Internet Explorer 6.0
    For no apparent reason Internet Explorer lost the ability to save a picture in anything but BMP. Firefox can save into any format, but Internet Explorer manages only BMP's.
    Any ideas how to fix it?

    Try deleteing IE's Temporary Internet files. You can do that by selecting Tools > Options, select the General tab, and then click the Delete Files button. Now see if you can save jpeg's or gif files.

    Great problem solved. I've no idea how the internet files caused it, but problem solved...
