Saving a PPT slide as a PDF ?

Hi. I'm running Windowa XP Pro with MS Office 2003. I need to save a slide from a power point presentation as a PDF but I don't have that option when I go to save the slide and click on the drop down box under the format to be saved. Am I just not getting something here or does anyone have a suggestion for a free download to make this conversion? It seems like with all of my searching everyone is trying to open PDF files with things like Word but I can't find anything on saving a power point slide as a PDF. My friend has sent me a slide as a PDF but she's running MAc and doesn't even know why she can, she just has that option.

Office 2003 offers numerous formats for saving a slide presentation but PDF is not one of them. However, you can download and install a freeware PDF converter such as PrimoPDF. If you do so, PrimoPDF will appear in Control Panel, Printers and Faxes. You would select it as the "printer" when you want to convert a file to PDF. I have Office 2003 and I have PrimoPDF installed. I had never tried using PrimoPDF to convert a slide presentation to PDF so I just now tried it and it worked fine.

I think another option, which you currently have is to Save as Web Page. This creates a file can be viewed via web browser. I tried this and viewed it in Internet Explorer and it worked pretty good.

The PDF version of my slide presentation was 105KB in size; saving as a web page generated a 1002KB file, almost 10 times larger than the PDF.

I mentioned a give away of a pay program.
Variety is the spice of life... and in software there is always another hundred programs that do the *same* thing.
So why not mention another option? Is this Russia?
