saving netzero e mail peoblem

    Hello and thank you for the service you provide. 3 weeks ago we atarted having problems saving e mails from our netzero e mail account. There were several attemps with the netzero help forum, but to no avail. Below is the last e mail sent to the netzero help center:


    Hello Patrick and thank you for your reply. Perhaps I should have been a bit clearer and provided more detail to the e mail problem.

    For years we have been able to save e mail messages to our HOME computer for referencing at a later time by doing the following:

    1. After opening a particular e mail and it was determined that it needed to be saved and since we use MS EXPLORER I would left click on FILE in the upper left hand corner of the screen. When the drop down appeared I would then left click on SAVE AS and the home computer file that the e mail was to be saved to would appear. The message was saved as a HTML and access to it at a later time or day was possible whether we were on line or offline.

    2. About 3 weeks ago this stopped working and only part of the in box will show when the particular e mail is accessed while on line or offline. NO part of the message was saved. E mails that were saved before 3 weeks ago to our home computer still open and the entire message can be viewed without being on line.

    3. This morning I went to e bay, opened a item and then saved the page as described above. It worked fine and I was able to access the saved e bay page when offline.

    4. Was there a recent change to the NETZERO software that could possibly be causing this problem?

    Thanks for the reply. We have a platinum account and I rechecked the settings. They are set correctly as well as on the explorer. I just ran CCleaner and fixed several errors but to no avail. The transferring of e mails from the e mail account to the computer persists. I have even tried going to an earlier restore point-no avail.

    You are saying that your email will not download to Outlook Express at all?

    No, the copy of the e mail isn't being saved on the computer when it indicates via the quick blurb that it was. We don't use Outlook Express. Just using the netzero/explorer version

    If it askes "where" to save and you have a name for the particular mail item ...do a search on your computer ...may just be saving it somewhere unfamiliar to you ...something may have changed the default place to save them ...

    The e mail is saved on the computer file where it is supposed to be. But when I click on it to open it the e mail message isn't there. In its place is part of the netzero inbox with nothing else. No trace of the "saved" email.
