Came across this pearl of wisdom when re-reading "Windows XP Annoyances for Geeks" (p35). BTW, really worth the money (USD $35, AUD $65).

It has always really annoyed me when saving a web page in IE (or other browsers, maybe), using Save as--Web Page, complete option, saves all the images in one folder and the text of the web page as a separate document.

The better option is to select Save as Web Page, HTML only. This saves the images and text all as one page. Wunnerful, wunnerful, as Stan Freberg said.

This greatly reduces the clutter in your "My Documents" folder.

Hope this hint also helps others. Bazza

You're welcome. just make sure that you don't get the deadly Red cross in a black square, where the graphics are supposed to appear. Bazza
